• How long does shipping take for a Dozy mattress?

  At Dozy, we make all of our mattresses locally so we are able to schedule your order for delivery as soon as 2-6 business days from purchase. We can also schedule your delivery up to a month in advance so you can receive your mattress when you need it.

• Do Dozy mattresses come compressed or rolled?

  In order to compress a mattress into a box, it must be flattened and rolled in a hydraulic press under thousands of pounds of force. It’s important to understand that this process inevitably compromises the integrity of most high-quality materials.

  At Dozy, we prioritize quality and so we only compress our more basic mattress models in our Express line so they can be easily picked up in-store and shipped nationwide. However, for the mattresses in our Original and Legacy lines, we deliver them traditionally using a courier company to preserve their integrity.

• What is a hybrid mattress?

  A hybrid mattress is a mattress containing both pocket coil technology and foam. At Dozy, we have 3 hybrid mattress models with different specifications: The Osgoode, The Summerhill, and The Richmond. Check out our product page here for more details.

• Do I need to purchase a box spring or foundation?

  If you are planning to use a bed frame with slats, you can place your mattress directly on the slats so you will not need a box spring. If you are planning to use a bed frame without slats, you will need a box spring to support the mattress. You can also use a box spring to lift your mattress off the floor without a bed frame or to add height to any bed set-up. Check out our foundation and frame options here.

• What is the best type of mattress for lower back pain?

  The best type of mattress for lower back pain is often one that is supportive of the heaviest parts of your body while providing some pressure-relief as well. However, comfort is subjective and everyone is different so we always recommend you try out a mattress before you buy it. Check out our showroom here to try all our Dozy mattresses for yourself.

• What is the best type of mattress for temperature control?

  The best type of mattress for temperature control is one that is highly breathable. A hybrid mattress is the most breathable mattress model as it will contain a variety of different technologies that allow for increased airflow. For example, latex is the most breathable mattress material as it is aerated and most closely related to rubber. Pocket coils are the most breathable mattress base due to the open airflow between the individually-wrapped coils. • How long should a mattress last?

  All Dozy mattresses, foundations, and frames are protected under a 5 or 10-year warranty depending on the model. However, with proper sleep hygiene practices and frequent mattress rotation, your purchase can last much longer. A firm mattress will last longer than a soft mattress as the foam is less likely to change shape over time. For more information on how to care for your mattress check out this video.

• How do I know if I need a new mattress?

  You may need a new mattress if your current one is uncomfortable or if you are moving and don’t already have one you want to bring with you. • How do I clean my mattress?

  Mattresses are not washable and we don’t recommend getting any part of them wet, however, there are ways to protect your mattress and keep it looking good as new.
  At Dozy, we have The Mattress Protector which acts as a barrier between your body and the mattress and protects against bacteria, dust, bodily fluids, and other liquids or stains that might come into contact with your sleep surface.
