Welcome to our website. I’m Dave – the founder of Dozy. Just a guy who started out working on a truck, delivering mattresses for a traditional mattress store. You know the one with rows of mattresses on the floor and pushy salesmen?
With Dozy I wanted to create something better.
Better than a traditional labyrinth of a store where a customer spends hours testing 30 different mattresses and loses one’s mind trying to understand all the ways in which they are different.
At Dozy we only carry 3 models. That provides enough variety to satisfy most people, and won’t devour half of your day – most of our clients pick their bed in under 20 minutes.
And better yet than the new kids on the block – the bed in a box that you buy online and can’t lay on before you buy it.
With Dozy we have an actual showroom that you can come, and see and feel the mattresses for yourself (although if you want to buy it online – you have that option too).
None of our mattresses are compressed. With our Davisville and Summerhill models – we couldn’t do it even if we wanted to – they have coils inside. But even with Osgoode – the all-foam mattress – it’s not something we would ever do. Compressing a mattress takes away from its durability, and the customer has to wait up to 48 hours for it to fully decompress.
Finally, Dozy is a Toronto based company. Our mattresses are made in Toronto. Our showroom is in Toronto.
Our focus is on serving Toronto and the GTA.
