Hollofil and cool gel pillow top
A plush box pillow top filled with Hollofil fibre, with a layer of cool gel sewn in underneath. Foam holds heat; fibre lets it escape. It's the biggest single thing that makes a mattress sleep cool.
100% cotton jacquard cover
A soft, woven cotton cover, certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, that breathes better than the poly blends used on most mattresses. Only the Forest Hill and the Rosedale get it.
Talalay latex and rebound foam
1" of springy Talalay latex over 2" of rebound foam. Together they cushion your shoulders and hips, then push back, so you move easily and never feel stuck in the bed.
Tri-zone pocket coils
1,100 double-tempered steel pocket coils in three zones, firmer in the middle. Each coil moves on its own, so the bed follows your shape, limits motion transfer and lets air through.
The magnificent middle
A 2.3" bolster of slightly firmer foam sits in the middle of the mattress, under your hips. It supports the heaviest part of your body and stops the middle softening and sagging over time.
Built to last
Five layers over coils with a 360° foam edge, 14.5" in all, built and delivered flat. It rates highest in our lineup for durability, with an expected life of 10 to 15 years.

A 100% cotton jacquard cover, certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, quilted with Hollofil fibre and finished as a box pillow top. The fibre keeps a breathable layer between you and the foam, so body heat escapes instead of soaking in.

Cool gel layer Sewn into the quilt
A layer of cool gel sewn into the quilt, just below the Hollofil. It sits in the quilt, not in the foam, so it's right under you, between the fibre and the latex.

1" Talalay latex Springy pressure relief
Responsive latex that cushions your shoulders and hips and pushes back gently, so you move easily and don't feel stuck. Its open-cell structure lets air move through, and it holds its shape for years.

2" rebound foam Responsive comfort
Soft at first touch, then it pushes back. It adds cushion under the latex without the slow, stuck feeling of memory foam, so it's easy to change positions.

2" open-cell foam Contouring and airflow
Follows your shape and relieves pressure. The open-cell structure lets air move through the foam, so heat moves down into the coils and away from you.

The magnificent middle 2.3" hip bolster
Slightly firmer foam set into the middle of the comfort layer, under your hips. Your body isn't even, so the support shouldn't be either: it holds up the heaviest part of you and keeps the middle from softening and sagging.

1,100 tri-zone pocket coils Reinforced middle
Double-tempered steel coils, each in its own pocket, so they move on their own and limit motion transfer. The coils are zoned, with a firmer centre zone for your hips and lower back.

A high-density foam frame around the coil unit. It strengthens the edges so you can sit on the side of the bed and sleep right to the edge.

Who is the Forest Hill best for?

Why is the Forest Hill your best mattress?

How firm is the Forest Hill?
It's a 5 out of 10, which is medium-soft, and it's our softest mattress: it can be made as soft as 3 out of 10, softer than anything else we make. The pillow top, latex and rebound foam give plush, responsive cushion on top, a firmer bolster sits under your hips, and 1,100 zoned pocket coils keep your spine supported. You can also choose extra soft (3/10), soft (4/10), firm (6/10) or extra firm (7/10) at no extra cost.
Is the Forest Hill good for hot sleepers?
It's the coolest mattress we make, rated 10 out of 10 for breathability. A Hollofil fibre quilt with a cool gel layer keeps a breathable layer between you and the foam, Talalay latex and open-cell foam let air through, and the pocket coils leave open space for heat to escape. The cotton jacquard cover breathes too.
What is a box pillow top?
A pillow top sewn with straight side walls, so it looks and feels like part of the mattress rather than a cushion on top. It gives the Forest Hill the plush, hotel-bed feel you notice the moment you lie down, while the latex and coils underneath keep you supported. Pair it with our Down & Feather Pillows and Duvet for the full hotel setup. Bedding is 20% off when you buy it with a mattress.
Where is the gel in the Forest Hill?
In the quilt. A layer of cool gel is sewn in just below the Hollofil fibre, close to you. None of the foam layers are gel-infused.
What is a cotton jacquard cover?
Jacquard is a woven fabric with the pattern built into the weave rather than printed on. The Forest Hill's is 100% cotton, which is soft and breathes well, and it's certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. It's the same cover we use on The Rosedale. Most of our other mattresses use a poly-cotton blend.
What is Talalay latex?
Latex made by the Talalay process, which gives it a very even, open-cell structure. It feels springy and responsive rather than slow-sinking like memory foam, lets air move through it, and keeps its shape for years. In the Forest Hill it's the 1" layer just under the quilt.
Does the Forest Hill come rolled or compressed?
No. The Forest Hill is built in Toronto and delivered flat, never rolled or compressed, so it keeps its full shape and support from day one.
How long does the Forest Hill last?
10 to 15 years with normal care, the longest in our lineup. Rotate it every 3 to 6 months. It comes with a 10-year limited warranty.
What's the difference between the Forest Hill and the Richmond?
Both are latex hybrids with 1" of Talalay latex, the magnificent middle and 1,100 tri-zone coils. The Richmond is 6/10 medium, 13" tall, with a poly-cotton Hollofil euro top, from $1,299. The Forest Hill is 5/10 medium-soft and 14.5" tall, with a 100% cotton jacquard cover, a cool gel layer in the quilt, a box pillow top and an extra layer of rebound foam. It sleeps cooler and lasts longer, from $1,899.
What's the difference between the Forest Hill and the Rosedale?
They share the 100% cotton jacquard cover and the Hollofil and cool gel quilt. The Rosedale is all-foam: 6/10 medium, 12" tall, with the quiet, motion-absorbing feel of foam, from $1,699. The Forest Hill adds Talalay latex and 1,100 pocket coils: 5/10 medium-soft, 14.5" tall, more bounce and more airflow, from $1,899.
