The hybrid core
1,100 double-tempered steel pocket coils in three zones, firmer in the middle. Each coil moves on its own, so the bed supports your shape and lets air through.
The magnificent middle
A 2.3" bolster of slightly firmer foam sits in the middle of the mattress, under your hips. It supports the heaviest part of your body and stops the middle softening and sagging over time.
360° edge support
A high-density foam frame around the coils gives you firm edges to sit on and no roll-off feeling.
Hollofil quilted top
A layer of Hollofil fibre sits between you and the foam. Foam holds heat; fibre lets it escape. It's the biggest single thing that makes a mattress sleep cool.

A poly-cotton blend cover, certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, quilted with Hollofil fibre. The fibre puts a breathable layer between you and the foam below, so body heat escapes instead of soaking into the foam. Many foam mattresses skip quilting entirely.

A thin pillow-top finish that softens the first touch without making the bed feel soft overall.

2" open-cell foam Comfort and airflow
Gentle contouring and pressure relief. The open-cell structure lets air move through the foam, so heat moves away from you.

The magnificent middle 2.3" hip bolster
Slightly firmer foam set into the middle of the comfort layer, under your hips. Your body isn't even, so the support shouldn't be either: it holds up the heaviest part of you and keeps the middle from softening and sagging.

Double-tempered steel coils, each in its own pocket, so they move on their own and limit motion transfer. The coils are zoned, with a firmer centre zone for your hips and lower back.

Who is the Summerhill best for?
Back and stomach sleepers, and anyone who likes a firmer bed they sleep on top of rather than in. It also works for side sleepers who like firmer support. If you sleep mostly on your side and want more cushion, The Richmond is a better fit.
How firm is the Summerhill?
It's a 7 out of 10, which is medium-firm. Open-cell foam gives gentle contouring on top, a firmer bolster sits under your hips, and 1,100 tri-zone pocket coils give strong, springy support underneath. You can also choose firm (8/10) or extra firm (9/10) at no extra cost.
Can I get a softer Summerhill?
No. The Summerhill has a thinner foam top over its coils, so a softer build would let you sink through to the coils. If you want something softer, The Richmond (6/10) or The Forest Hill (5/10) are better choices.
Is the Summerhill good for hot sleepers?
Yes. The top is quilted with Hollofil fibre, which keeps a breathable layer between you and the foam, and foam is what holds heat. Underneath, pocket coils leave open space for air to move. It rates 7 out of 10 for breathability in our lineup.
How long does the Summerhill last?
10 to 12 years with normal care. Rotate it every 3 to 6 months. It comes with a 10-year limited warranty.
What if the Summerhill doesn't feel right?
You have 125 nights and up to two exchanges under our Comfort Guarantee. We can swap it for a tailored firmness version of the Summerhill for free, exchange it up to another model and you pay the difference, or exchange it down and we refund the difference.
How fast is delivery?
Delivery is free and usually arrives within 2 to 5 days of your order, depending on where you live.

What's the difference between the Summerhill and the Richmond?
The Richmond is built the same way as the Summerhill, with a layer of Talalay latex added on top. The Summerhill is 7/10 medium-firm, 12" tall and starts at $1,099. The Richmond is 6/10 medium, 13" tall, more breathable and more durable, and starts at $1,299.
What's the difference between the Summerhill and the Davisville?
They're built the same way, except the Davisville has an 8" high-density foam core where the Summerhill has 1,100 tri-zone pocket coils. Both are 7/10 medium-firm. The Summerhill sleeps cooler and lasts longer and starts at $1,099. The Davisville has the quieter feel of foam and starts at $899.
