How to read our numbers
Warmth, breathability and TOG: what's the difference?
Two bars to choose by, warmth and breathability, plus an estimated TOG for reference.
The bar: Light to Warm
Warmth
How much heat a duvet holds in, scored 1 to 10 across our duvets. Fill type and fill weight decide it. Run cold or keep a cool bedroom? Choose more warmth.
Warmth isn't weight. Our warmest duvet, the Winter Down Duvet, is lighter than our Down & Feather or Down Alternative.
The bar: Sweaty to Dry
Breathability
How well heat and moisture escape, scored 1 to 10. Silk, wool and down pull moisture away from your skin. Synthetic fill holds onto it and leaves you clammy.
Warm and breathable can go together. That's why down sleeps so well.
The lab number
TOG
The European and UK lab standard for how well a duvet holds in heat. Higher is warmer.
TOG measures heat only, not moisture or feel. Two duvets with the same TOG can sleep very differently. Ours are estimates from each fill and fill weight.
The short version
Run hot or wake up sweaty? Choose a duvet closer to Dry. Run cold? Choose one closer to Warm.
Why it works
What makes the Feather Duvet different
A close, weighted drape
Feathers are flatter and heavier than down, so the duvet settles around you for a snug, tucked-in feel.
Light, natural warmth
Feathers hold less heat than down, so it suits warm sleepers, warmer rooms and guest beds.
Quill-less feathers
Feathers without the hard quill, in a down-proof shell, so nothing pokes through.
Breathes better than synthetic
A natural fill lets body moisture escape, so you sleep drier than under a synthetic duvet.

Quality and care
What the labels mean, and how to care for it
Certified
Downmark® and OEKO-TEX®
Our down and feather duvets are Downmark® certified by the Down Association of Canada: fill is lab tested to match its label, and its sourcing rules ban live-plucking and force-feeding. Every Dozy duvet is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, tested for harmful substances.
Care
Professional cleaning only
Keep your duvet in a duvet cover, air it out often and spot clean small marks with a little mild soap and water.
When it needs a full clean, take it to a professional cleaner and tell them what the fill is. Washing or tumble drying a duvet at home can damage the fill.
Duvet covers
Give your duvet a cover
A washable cover keeps your duvet fresh for years, so it needs professional cleaning far less often. Choose from a variety of materials and finishes.

Feather Duvet questions, answered
What is the Feather Duvet filled with?
Pure quill-less white duck feather, in a 233 thread count polyester shell. It's Downmark® certified and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
Is the Feather Duvet warm enough for winter?
It gives light warmth, about 4.5 TOG for a Queen. That suits warm sleepers and well-heated rooms. If you run cold or keep your bedroom cool, the Down & Feather Duvet or the Down Duvet in Winter weight will keep you warmer.
Will feathers poke through?
No. The feathers are quill-less, so there's no hard spine to poke out, and the shell is a tightly woven 233 thread count fabric.
Should I get the Feather Duvet or the Down & Feather Duvet?
The Feather Duvet is flatter, lighter in warmth and our lowest price for natural fill. The Down & Feather adds 20% down, so it's loftier, softer and warmer for a bit more.
Is the Feather Duvet good for a guest room?
Yes. It's a comfortable duvet with natural fill, at our lowest price for natural fill, and its light warmth suits most guests and most rooms.
How do I clean my duvet?
Professional cleaning only. Keep your duvet in a duvet cover, air it out often and spot clean small marks with a little mild soap and water. When it needs a full clean, take it to a professional cleaner and tell them what the fill is. Washing or tumble drying a duvet at home can damage the fill.
Do I need a duvet cover?
Yes. A cover protects the duvet from sweat, oils and spills, and because duvets need professional cleaning, a cover you can toss in the wash keeps it fresh for much longer. We carry duvet covers in cotton sateen, cotton percale and flax linen.
What size should I get?
Match your duvet to your mattress size: Twin/Single, Double/Full, Queen or King. Want more overhang, or share with someone who steals the covers? Size up (e.g. a King size duvet on a Queen size bed).
What is a TOG rating?
TOG is a European lab measure of how well a duvet holds in heat. Higher is warmer: roughly 3 to 4.5 is summer weight, 7 to 10.5 all-season and 12 and up winter weight. Canadian brands rarely list TOG; ours are estimates from each duvet's fill and fill weight. TOG measures heat only, which is why we also score every duvet for breathability.
Do you put duvets on sale?
No. Our prices stay the same every day. The one deal we offer: 20% off duvets, pillows and sheets when you buy them with a mattress, applied automatically in your cart.
