What's inside
Three layers, 10 inches
The layers from the top down, then everything else you'd want to know.
| 1. Hollofil quilt, tight topPoly-cotton cover, fibre fill | The same Hollofil-quilted poly-cotton cover as our Summerhill, Davisville and Richmond, certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and finished as a tight top instead of a pillow top. The fibre keeps a breathable layer between you and the foam. With a thinner top you sit closer to the coils, so the Osgoode has a bit more of a springy, coil feel. |
|---|---|
| 2. 2" high-density foamComfort layer | A layer of foam between the quilt and the coils. It cushions your shoulders and hips and spreads your weight across the coils below. |
| 3. 800 tri-zone pocket coilsReinforced centre | Each coil sits in its own pocket and moves on its own, which limits motion transfer and leaves open space for air. The coils are zoned, with a reinforced centre under your hips and lower back. 800 coils feel noticeably softer and springier than the 1,100 in our Summerhill. |
| Type | Hybrid (foam over pocket coils) |
| Firmness | 5/10, medium-soft. One firmness |

We purchased The Osgoode earlier this month (September 2026) and so far, no complaints! It's soft, very comfortable to sleep on, and overall good value for money.

The Osgoode FAQ
Straight answers to what people ask us in the store.
Who is the Osgoode best for?
Most sleep positions, if you like a medium-soft, springy feel. It's a good pick for a first apartment, a guest room or a kid's room, or anyone who wants a real pocket coil mattress at a lower price. If you sleep on your back or stomach and want firmer support, The Summerhill is a better fit.
How firm is the Osgoode?
It's a 5 out of 10, which is medium-soft. A tight top and 2" of high-density foam sit over 800 tri-zone pocket coils, so you feel more of the coils' spring than on our pillow-top hybrids. 800 coils are noticeably softer than the 1,100 in our Summerhill.
Can I get the Osgoode today?
Usually, yes. We keep the Osgoode in stock at 290 Queen St W, so you can pick it up the same day or get same-day delivery. Stock is first come, first served, so call (416) 840 0224 if you're coming in for one today.
Does the Osgoode come rolled?
Yes. It comes rolled as standard, which makes it easy to carry home and get up stairs and through tight doorways. It's usually picked up, sent by courier to your front door or shipped by mail, rather than going out with our white-glove delivery. Unroll it on your bed and give it time to fully expand.
Is the Osgoode good for hot sleepers?
It breathes better than most mattresses at its price. The Hollofil quilt puts fibre between you and the foam, and foam is what holds heat. The pocket coils underneath leave open space for air to move. It rates 5 out of 10 for breathability in our lineup; our pillow-top and latex hybrids rate higher.
How are the edges on the Osgoode?
The Osgoode doesn't have a foam frame around the coils, so the edges are a bit softer than on our foam-encased hybrids, and you can feel the coils if you run your hand down the side. That's normal for this build and nothing to worry about. If you sit on the edge of the bed a lot, The Summerhill has a high-density foam encasement.
How long does the Osgoode last?
5 to 8 years with normal care. Rotate it every 3 to 6 months. It comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
What's the difference between the Osgoode and the Essential?
The Osgoode is a hybrid: a Hollofil-quilted top and 2" of foam over 800 tri-zone pocket coils, 10" tall, from $479. The Essential is all foam with a smooth top and no quilting, 8" tall, from $429. For about $50 more, the Osgoode breathes better and lasts longer.
What's the difference between the Osgoode and the Summerhill?
The Summerhill is our best seller: 1,100 tri-zone pocket coils, a pillow top, the magnificent middle hip bolster and a foam-encased edge. It's 7/10 medium-firm, 12" tall, from $1,099. The Osgoode is simpler and softer: 800 coils, a tight top, no hip bolster or foam edge, 5/10 medium-soft, 10" tall, from $479.
What if the Osgoode doesn't feel right?
You have 125 nights and up to two exchanges under our Comfort Guarantee. Exchange it for another model and pay the difference. The Osgoode comes in one firmness, so it can't be tailored softer or firmer.
Do you offer financing?
No. Financing costs a store money, and that cost ends up in the price everyone pays, including people who pay in full. We keep our prices lower instead.
